Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay - Hoa Binh - Mai Chau - Hoa Lu - Nam Dinh - Ha Noi

Day 1: Arrival - Ha Noi

On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel. Ha Noi, Vietnam’s capital, is one thousand year old city with green lakes, French styled buildings, old quarter streets, brightly painted temples and pagodas. ( If time permits) we enjoy a short cyclos ride around the old quarter streets. O/N in Ha Noi.

Day 2: Ha Noi

Ha Noi boasts one of Asia's most enchanting cities. Today we spend a full day visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature well known as Vietnam’s first university, the Ethnology Museum, the beautiful lake of Hoan Kiem with its scared,West Lake, the Fine Art Museum. The performance of Ha Noi’s famous water puppets is not to be missed this evening. O/N in Ha Noi. (B)

Day 3: Ha Noi - Ha Long

An early morning start to drive to Ha Long Bay. On the way, we visit  Dong Trieu village, which is well known for a great production of porcelain.On arrival in Ha Long, we take a 5 hour boat trip for an exploration of the bay, stopping along the way for a swim and a sea food lunch on board. O/N in Ha Long. (B,L)

Day 4: Ha Long - Ha Noi

We return to Ha Noi with stopover at Hong Ngoc workshop to see embroidery making and Phu Lang village to visit earthenware workshop.There are some opportunities for you to make few products. O/N in Ha Noi. (B)

Day 5: Ha Noi - Mai Chau

The spectacular countryside and simple lifestyle of the white Thai hill tribe people are a highlight of Mai Chau although conditions are very basic. After an interesting drive to Mai Chau, we take a walk to visit brocade waving at Poong Cong , Lac and Van villages. The last interest of the day is an evening traditional dance performance by Thai hill tribe people. O/N in Mai Chau. (B,D)

Day 6: Mai Chau - Ha Noi

There is free time for your own exploration of Mai Chau before we leave for Ha Noi . On our journey we visit rattan and bamboo furniture making at Phu Yen village and silk waving at Van Phuc village. O/N in Ha Noi.(B)

Day 7: Ha Noi - Ninh Binh

The morning we spend few hour travelling to Hoa Lu, the sights of Vietnam’s first imperial capital. On arrival we enjoy a cruise on a river through the quiet and peaceful landscape of rice fields surrounded by limestone formations to the grottoes of Tam Coc. Then, we have time to see embroidery making at Van Lam village . O/N in Ninh Binh. (B)

Day 8: Ninh Binh - Nam Dinh - Ha Noi

After a short drive to La Xuyen village, we take a walk to visit local homes and wooden carvings. The afternoon we transfer back to Ha Noi with stopover at Chuyen My village to experience lacquer making. O/N in Ha Noi. (B)

Day 9: Ha Noi

Heading out of town we visit handicraft making at Thiet Ung village and the pottery workshop at Bat Trang village. The reminder of today is free time to further explore Ha Noi or catch on some shopping area.O/N in Ha Noi. (B)

Day 10:Ha Noi - Departure

There is free time to relax before the departure to Noi Bai Airport. The tour ends after your transfer to Noi Bai Airport for departure. (B)

TRIP NOTES:

     Vietnam is developing countries whose infrastructure, values, customs, standard may different from what you expect in your home land. Road condition are poor, accommodation and transportation may be basic in remote area.

      Daily breakfast (B) and 01 lunches (L) are included on this trip. Other meals are at client’s expenses. However, the trip with full board meal is arranged upon request.

     The dress standards are conservative thoughout Asia. Loose, lightweight, long clothing are all respectful and cool in Asian hot climate. In addition to your items of personal clothing, we suggest you to bring trainer or sneaker shoes, jacket for cold weather, torch/flash light, hat, rain coat for wet season, sun cream, sunglasses, daypack, toiletries and small towel, insect repellent.

     Occationally, this itinerary may be amended for reasons beyond our control as weather, flight delay or road conditions.
