Vientiane - Xieng Khouang - Pakse - Khong Island - Luang Prabang - Vientiane

 

Day 1:Arrival -Vientiane

On arrival at Wattay Airport or Friendship Bridge you are met and transferred to hotel. An afternoon city tour takes in Hophrakeo, Vat Sisaket, Patousay and Thatluang Stupa. O/N in Vientiane.

Day 2: Vientiane - Xieng Khouang

A short morning flight to  Xieng Khouang, one of Laos's biggest plateaus. On arrival,  we have time to visit the impressive archaeological Plains of Jars, Muang Khouane and see  Hmong and Lao  hill tribe people, all freindly and welcoming. O/N in Phonesavanh.(B)

At leisure. We take a flight back to Vientiane. The afternoon, we continue our sightseeing tour of Vientiane, including the National Cultural Ethnic Park and the elaborate Buddha Park. O/N inVientiane. (B)

Day 4: Vientiane - Pakse

Today, we reboard a flight to Pakse. On arrival  we enjoy a boat trip to Champasak where we have chance to explore a complex of  ancient Khmer  temples and Buddhist shrines. O/N in Khong Island.(B)

Day 5: Khong Island

Venturing into southern Laos we spend a full day in  Khong Island, visiting such sites as Liphi waterfalls,  the fishermen (Ban Khone), the ruin of French runway and the old bridge. O/N in Khong Island.( B)

Day 6:Khong Island - Pakse

The great waterfalls of Khonephanpheng is also visited this morning before we leave for Pakse. On the way, you make stop at Phou Asa for an elephant excursion through many hill tribe villages. O/N in Pakse. (B)

Day 7:Pakse - Vientiane - Luang Prabang

We travel by air via  Vientiane to Luang Prabang.  This tranquil town  is featured by brightly painted temples and pagodas, narrow streets, scenic surrounding mountainsides. Luang Prabang boasts one of Laos's most delightfull places.On arrival , we visit the town  with  Vat Visoun, Vat Aham, Vat Phousy hill, Vat Xieng Thong Temple, Vat Mai. O/N in Luang Prabang.(B)

Day 8:Luang Prabang - Pakou - Luang Prabang

Heading out of Luang Prabang, we embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River,  which also provides us a taste of the tranquil countryside and   an interesting visit to Pak Ou Cave, Tam Tinh Cave and Ban Xang Hai. On return trip, we make stop at Ban Phanom village well known for brocade weaving. O/N in Luang Prabang. (B)

Day 9: Luang Prabang - Vientianebridge.jpg (12013 bytes)

The central market and the interesting National Museum are not be missed on our  sightseeing tour of Luang Prabang this morning. We then board a flight back to the capital city. O/N in Vientiane (B)

Day 10:Vientiane - Departure

If time permits we  have chance to visit the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong. The tour ends after your transfer to Wattay Airport or Friend ship Bridge for departure. (B)
